Welcome to the new Centre Screen Cinema website, where you can find information on our upcoming screenings and general information about the cinema. Centre Screen cinema is conveniently located in The Rainhall Centre on Rainhall Road in Barnoldswick and has been setup as a community cinema to allow people in the local area to come along and see films as the director intended, in High Definition on a large 14ft cinema screen with full Dolby digital 5.1 surround sound.
The cinema can seat up to 50 people with 4 additional wheelchair spaces at the front, the raised seating is such that every seat has a perfect view of the action and allows everyone to fully enjoy the true cinema experience in comfort.
The cinema is open every alternate weekend and is ran entirely by local volunteers who share a passion for film, and give their time freely to help run the box office, act as ushers and also setup and run the projector and screen the films. We are always on the lookout for new volunteers, so if you would like to get involved or would simply like to find out more information, call into the Rainhall Centre or send an email to volunteer@centrescreencinema.co.uk and we will send you a volunteer information pack.
Filmmaking workshops:
We have some very exciting workshops planned for the summer which will include a film makers club where you will be able to create your own short film and have it displayed on the big screen.
